ZALEA PAMPA
The ZALEA PAMPA project develops a handcrafted men's and a women's perfume that translates the unique olfactory identity of the Pampa biome into an authentic sensory experience. Inspired by the revolutionary concept of Fahrenheit (Dior), it seeks to capture characteristic aromas of the region: leather from saddles, yerba mate, the countryside after rain, native plants such as marcela and carqueja, butiá palm, and elements of everyday rural life.
Simultaneously, he produced an ethnographic documentary recording the entire creative process, from field expeditions and interviews with local producers to the creation of the essences and the technical development of the formula. The film documents people, traditions, and local knowledge, preserving the intangible cultural memory of the pampas.
The methodology includes: bibliographic research, community mapping, expeditions to collect samples, interviews with residents, laboratory analysis, development of extraction techniques adapted to regional inputs, creation of olfactory compositions, and production of handcrafted packaging with elements of the visual culture of Rio Grande do Sul.
Objectives: to value regional sensory culture, foster the local creative economy, generate income for producers and artisans, create a high value-added cultural product with export potential, preserve traditional knowledge, and establish a replicable model for other cultural projects.
